Cons:
- No mobile app that I know of
- Their food group definitions do not always follow diabetic guidelines. For example, legumes and starchy vegetables are classified as vegetables. Cheese is classified as milk.
Fit Day
Pros:
- Track calories, weight, activities, mood, body measurements, and more
- Large food and activity databases
- Calculates percentage of calories from each macronutrient type (carbs, protein, fat, and alcohol)
- Detailed micronutrient breakdown (vitamins and minerals)
- Forums
Cons:
- Mobile app is not free
My Fitness Pal
Pros:
- Large food database
- Add your favorite recipes and only enter the nutrition info once
- Share recipe and meal data with your “friends” (e.g., spouse)
- Free mobile apps
- Apps allow you to “scan” barcodes of food labels and thus enter the data for that food
- Syncs with other services such as scales, blood pressure monitors, pedometers, etc.)
Cons:
- Not as many report options as Fit Day
