Jana Comer, giving an overview of the chapter blog
Chapter Blog Unveiled
At our August 29 meeting, Jana was our program speaker. She presented an overview of the new chapter blog. The blog will feature articles about programs, meeting handouts, other chapter news, and discussion forums. All members who want to register can either go to the registration page or contact Jana via the contact form. Also use the contact form for questions, comments, and suggestions.
Work in Progress
I’m really excited about the blog. I hope that it is useful, fun, and helps us through our weight loss journey. I want the group to make it their own, and I can only do that through your input. Thanks everyone for your suggestions!
Great idea, Jana!
Thanks! I hope this will be fun for all of us.
Well, it is right before the meeting tonight and i finally logged in!! Thanks so much once again, Jana!!
Yeehaw – I finally got on here!!! Of course, it’s time to leave for the meeting!
Yeah! Glad you made it. I’m still working on fixing the bug that redirects to Min Pin Mania. By the way, my dogs aren’t spoiled. They may have their own web site, “cute” their way out of trouble, and treat my husband and I like staff, but they’re not spoiled 😉
Yeah, right, Jana!!
I am getting ready to learn how to monitor my blood sugar, even though I am not diabetic. However, my mother and several of her brothers are and I seem to be trending that way. So, as a preventative, I am getting ready to monitor the good ole “bs”!! I have been told that this could help me see if I am really heading that direction…I have other indicators that tend that way. I hope everyone is doing well. I do not have any kids at home that are in school. How come our schedule just got so busy?
That’s great! I like the way you’re taking charge of your health. I know what you mean about the schedule–no kids at my house, either, but I never seem to have time. I don’t understand how parents fit everything in!
Jana, I think you would be good at doing articles for the paper because I am having to be gone so much. Would you consider it? Email me and I will tell you how easy it is!!
Good Morning everyone! Hope to see you all at weigh in tonight! I don’t know about anyone else – but I have days I am not really hungry and then I have days that I could eat everything in my path. I am trying to learn to plan my calories for the day – including healthy snacks – then if I don’t need the snacks I don’t eat them. But I am finding it is better for me to have a snack available because if I don’t it means a run to the convenience store where nothing is really good for you! Everyone have an awesome day!
Great idea! I often eat planned snacks as well. My weight loss rule #1 is this: If you’re hungry, eat and make the best choice possible at the time. Planning, like you said, will make those choices better.
